150 Parks of Budapest

The contents of this book are a subjective selection. Each location is marked with small
icons indicating why it’s worth making the trip: the icon guide can be found on the inside
covers, so you can quickly see whether a park is dog-friendly, great for sports, romantic,
a peaceful retreat, a fantastic playground, or a perfect spot for a get-together with
friends. A wheelchair icon marks those parks and playgrounds that are fully accessible.

Alongside the 150 park descriptions, the book also contains dozens of informative
articles. Topics include the latest developments in green space planning and
maintenance, explanations of technical terms, and a series of short, light-hearted pieces
that aim to dispel common myths about how to use and enjoy parks.

At the back of the book you’ll find a selection of my favourite photographs.

Many people know Budapest — but not enough people know Budapest’s parks. I’m
confident that after reading this book, you’ll find yourself saying about at least a dozen
places: „I had no idea this was in Budapest.„
